Lonely No More: 3

Chapter 3: Maybe..

Pikachu and the Umbreon smashed into Shane. All three of them laid on the floor stunned. Shane sat up first, he looked around and noticed the Umbreon was sitting on his burnt tail.

“OW!!!!” the Umbreon looked at Shane then to his tail. She jumped up off of his tail then gently patted it as she smiled at him. Pikachu stood as well and looked at Shane and the Umbreon. The three Pokémon looked at each other for a moment.

Ash and the other ran over to the three Pokémon, the Umbreon looked at the approaching people then stood.

“Well I think I should get going..that guy is still in the woods” she said titling her head showing off a blue bandanna. Shane immediately noticed the design on the bandanna.

“huh? that symbol... Team Aqua?!” he thought as he then pounced on her.

“You're a member of Team Aqua? Where's your trainer!?” the Umbreon looked up at him confused Pikachu knew who Team Aqua was and growled at her.6

“umm what’s a trainer?" she asked. Ash and the others rushed over, they too noticed the Team Aqua bandanna. Shane looked back at her just as confused.

“do you mean this thing on my neck?” the Umbreon asked pointing to the bandanna. “cause this guy with a blue hat and blue..." she continued Pikachu sighed

“well she's a weird one”

Ash, Brock, and Dawn watched the Umbreon. Gabby slowly walked after them then sat behind them.

“and this... guy with the blue hat and clothes... where is he?” Shane asked her.

“Umm well i was walking and he was behind me he yelled 'hey you get back here we need to go met the boss at blah blah blah' while he was talking about that boring stuff I saw a bug so i chased it then I saw this flower so i chased that and then..” she said continuing with no one really listening. Shane sighed and released her. He looked at Pikachu and shrugged. The Umbreon continued to talk. Shane was engulfed in a bright light when the light faded he was an Espeon.

Ash turned to him “well what did she say? and why dose she have a team aqua bandanna” Everyone else looked to him for an answer.

“She apparently hasn't a clue about her current situation...” He said telepathy. They all sighed.

“Can you ask her where she came from?" Brock asked. Shane looked back at her and she was still talking, he turned back to them then answered

“I can... try...” Brock nodded, he turned back to her “where do you live, then?” he asked her. The Umbreon stopped talking and looked at him.

“live um well there this ball right and it opens and this light comes out and.." she said sounding like she was going to talk for all of time, when she stopped suddenly. She looked around with her ears twitching then ran off back into the forest with out a word.

Shane and the other looked confused. “Maybe we should follow her?” Shane said telepathically they all agreed. Out of nowhere a man walked out of the forest. He had on light blue pants with white marks on the side of the legs; they looked like a link chain. His shirt was white with dark blue stripes and he had a light blue bandanna on his head, on it was an A in white with the ends looking like bones. He looked around then sighed

“I thought she went this way?” he said aloud. Shane and Pikachu got on guard. Pikachu growled which caught the man attention. He looked worried

“Aww man…umm,” He pointed in a random direction “Hey look over there!” at that he turned back to the woods and ran off.

“come on lets follow him!” Ash said giving chase, the others quickly followed behind him. The man ran slowly and they quickly caught up, he was stopped in a clearing hunched over holding his knees and breathing heavily

“…man..i got..to get..in shape..” he said with a sigh. He noticed Ash and the other behind him and stood up about to leave when the strange Umbreon from before was sitting on the ground smelling a flower. “got yeah!” he said as he jumped towards her,  but to his surprise he was still in the air.

“wha the?” the Umbreon ignored the floating man above her and continued to sniff the flower. The man turned to Ash, Shane’s eyes glowed purple as he was holding him up with his Psychic attack.

“What is Team Aqua doing here?” Ash asked the man but he remained quiet, Shane’s eyes glowed brighter and the looked at him

“WAIT! Don’t do what I think you’re gonna do” the man said thinking that Shane was going to drop him. The Umbreon finally noticed him and looked up.

“huh?..hey that’s the guy with the ball” she said to Shane but her happy expression quickly changed

“Wait! It’s the guy with the ball!!!!" she yelled suddenly head butting the man in the face. He put up his hands to protect his face from a second attack

“Ouch, stop it Brittany! We have to…oh wait” he thought for a moment “..Code Black” The newly named Umbreon froze. Her bandanna beeped and the Team Aqua symbol on it glowed blue. She crouched with her eyes glowing yellow then started charged at Shane.

Shane dropped the man in front of her but she moved at the last second dodging the man and landing a head butt in Shane's side. He tumbled away with Pikachu running over to him, and then the man stood laughing. Brittany, the Umbreon, walked back in front of the man as he laughed.

“Wow. That actually worked!” he said happily to himself “Ok Brittany, go get them!” he yelled. Brittany charged again for Shane. He stood up then teleported behind her. She looked at Shane then turned back towards Ash, Brock, Dawn and Gabby.  Her eyes glowed a dark purple and she opened her mouth. A black ball formed in front of her, she jerked her head forward and the ball flew at Ash and the others.

Shane and Pikachu were too far to do anything. Ash, Dawn, and Brock braced them selves for the attack but Gabby squeezed herself from Dawn’s hold and stood protectively in front of them. She bark as a bright light covered her body. She grew larger as the light got brighter. Brock noticed the light first

“Hey I think she is evolving!" he said as Ash and Dawn turned to look at her. The light around Gabby faded and she was larger than before but she wasn’t a Houndoom. To everyone’s surprise she was a Sneazel.

The ball of black continued towards her out of fear she opened her mouth and unleashed a strong gust of wind, ice, and snow.

“Blizzard!” Brock said surprised.

“how?! Houndour evolves to Heoundoom! not Sneazel!” Shane thought and the others were thinking the same thing. The Shadow Ball was thrown from it target and swerved into the forest. Shane quickly snapped out of his confusion and glowed blue. Ice formed at his feet and when the glow faded he was a Glaceon.

He fired a beam of ice at Brittany who was still in shock from Gabby’s change. She was hit with both the Blizzard and the Ice Beam. A cloud of ice dust flew up from around Brittany, once it cleared Brittany was frozen in place.

The Team Aqua member was still looking at Gabby. “wha the! How did the Houndour do that!! I got to tell the boss..I’m so gonna get a bonus for this!” he said calling Brittany back into her Poke-Ball. He turned and ran off.

Shane was about to follow but stopped he turned to the others as a light covered him again. He was now an Espeon again

“Everyone alright?” he asked telepathy. Everyone nodded except for Gabby. She was looking down at her new body.

“What heck is going on?" She asked no one in particular. Shane turned to her then walked over.

“calm down... we can figure this out later...”

“later!! i'm like this now!!!” she yelled back at him. Shane turned to Ash now

“you should take her to the Pokemon Center. Maybe the nurse there can figure this out.” He said to Ash telepathy. Ash nodded and picked up the spazing out Pokemon, he turned and walked off back to town.

Brock stood thinking, he turned to Shane who was watching Ash walk away.

“maybe she can do what you do..just different." he said. Shane turned to him and telepathically said

“It can't be... with her it's physically impossible...” he pause and thought for a moment “then again... my 'ability' as you call it, should be as well...”

Brock nodded still thinking. Dawn watched the two of them confused

“my ability was a... "gift" from a group of humans I hope to never meet again...” Shane continued telepathically say gift as sarcastically as possible. Brock looked surprised

“oh..um well i'm sorry.." he said. Dawn nodded in agrement.

"well i'm completely lost so i'm going back" she said turning around walking back towards the Pokemon Center. Brock and Shane nodded as the Pokemon explained further

“It's alright... I've already learned not all humans are like them. I'm far away from them now I think... I came here on one of those large floating things you humans use to cross the oceans...”

Brock smiled “a boat" he said Shane nodded

“I believe that's what it's called”

“i was wondering why an Eevee was this far way from the Kanto region"

“ I fled from them soon after they gave me my ability.  I suppose my ability is the only reason I was able to escape the men in black clothes...”

Brock thought again “black clothes...hmm did they have big red R's on them?” Shane looked up thinking then said telepathically

“yes, I believe they did”

“it must have been team rocket!" he said. Shane payed close attention to what Brock was telling him.

“some of them follow us around, but they're pretty harmless..well the ones that follow us" he said. As soon as he finished his sentience a near by bush rustled and a voice mumbled

“hey we don't...” Shane and Brock both started at the bush, it rattled again speacking

“oh look what u did James” a female voice said from behind the bush.

“what i didn't say anything!” a male voice retorted. “Will you two shut yer yaps! Oh good now they know were here!” a third voice said arguing with the other two. Shane tilted his head to the side in confusion. Brock sighed “Thats them”

“Those three?” Shane asked with a laugh “I remember them! they were the first ones I zapped on my escape!” Brock smiled

“ha really! they are the ones that do all kinds of thing that have nothing to do with what they talk about. come on they will probably argue like that for another 10 minutes, then they will notice were gone"

Shane nodded. A bright light covered his body for a moment, once the light faded Shane was now an Eevee. He and brock turned and headed back towards town.
